The Shutter

red_velvet_cafe_logo.pngThe Red Velvet Cafe inside the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health has shut down for good after earning a C grade from the Southern Nevada Health District in June and a KTNV investigation into how many calories its 27-calorie cookies actually have. The news station "obtained an independent food lab report from Pacific Coast Analytical in California. It shows they're actually 157 calories each — nearly six times more than advertised." Chef Aneesha Tolani's public relations representative "confirmed the closure of the cafe at the Ruvo Center was a mutual decision after their own test showed the cookies were at least 100 calories each."
