Nobu Special for Locals; Megan Romano Pop-Up Dinner

HARD ROCK HOTEL — Nobu now has a tasting menu for locals for $75 through August that includes a six-course menu with some of the restaurant's most popular dishes. Look for yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, tuna sashimi salad, rock shrimp tempura drizzled in a creamy spicy sauce, black cod miso, assorted sushi with miso soup and a chef's choice dessert. WESTSIDE — Chocolate & Spice Bakery holds a pop-up dinner with Megan Romano and Dray Gardner on Thursday, July 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. The family-style meal accompanied by live music includes a three-course menu with dishes such as fried green tomatoes, roasted cauliflower with kalamata vinaigrette, garlic brioche monkey bread and buttered summer white corn for appetizers. Entrees include grilled Kalbi beef ribs with scallions and orange, lemon herb marinated chicken and vegetable skewers and New England steamed clams in bouillabaisse with garlic toast and rouille. The meal ends with tequila avocado and strawberry sorbet push-pops, warm chocolate chip and toffee cookie S'mores, mini molten chocolate cake with liquid peanut butter and strawberry shortcake.
