The Tivoli Village electronic billboard says "Coming Soon" and LA chef Sam Marvin's combination Echo & Rig Butcher & Steakhouse looks like it could meet its promised August debut. The new glass windows are installed and the staircase is ready to serve this two-story, 12,500-square-foot space.
The large glass frontage is part of a reaction to the familiar dark steakhouse vibe. The dining space will be open plan, feature an exhibition kitchen and offer outdoor seating to provide a view of the upscale retail district and Bradley Ogden's Hops & Harvest restaurant across the street.
Marvin's butcher shop retail concept will also apply to the restaurant's dishes, with a rare "nose to tail" approach to the menu featuring more than 75 farm fresh items.
