Sip, a cocktails and martini bar at Green Valley Ranch has very quietly opened in time for summer. The former bright and white Ovation bar space has taken on amber tones and more privacy. The switcheroo follows the resort's removal of the Ovation showroom, now replaced with a bingo room.
Located opposite China Spice and Sushi + Sake, Sip is currently offering five cocktails for its debut.
Cucumber mojito: Bacardi Superior rum, Midori melon liqueur, fresh lime juice with a splash of simple syrup and club soda, muddled mint leaves and cucumber slices, shaken and served on the rocks, garnished with a lime wedge.
Ginger grapefruit martini: Belvedere vodka, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, pineapple juice and a splash of grapefruit juice, shaken and strained into a martini glass, garnished with a ginger slice.
Taste of Paradise: Absolut vodka, Hiram Walker blue curaçao, Soho Lychee liqueur and fresh lemon juice with a dash of simple syrup, shaken and served on the rocks with a lemon wedge.
Elderflower Margarita: Cazadores Blanco tequila, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur and fresh lime juice shaken and served over ice with optional salt rim and a lime wedge.
The Golden Rush: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur and fresh lemon juice, shaken and strained into a martini glass, garnished with a lemon twist.
Most interesting, the cocktails are charged by the liquor instead of prices run on the menu.
