The Dollar General Market food prep area at 2224 S. Nellis Blvd. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District with an imminent health hazard after a routine inspection on Aug. 9.
Inspectors found no potable or hot water there. They also discovered no hot and cold water from an approved source and ineffective pest control measures among the other violations.
Two other inspections in 2012 earned the food prep area an A grade.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
