The dramatic decimation of the Monte Carlo's Strip-facing frontage now has something to show off for all the construction excitement. The Double Barrel Roadhouse from SBE and MGM Resorts has erected its first sold wall. The Vegas-style roughneck roadhouse will be housed in a modern twist on an "old-world rustic barn saloon."

The two-story,12,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor space will feature live music and spontaneous entertainment including performances on elevated catwalks by resident "DB girls." Large portions of comfort food and "approachable bottle service experiences" will also be on the agenda. A New Year's Eve 2014 opening date is still being proposed.
The Roadhouse is being constructed perpendicular to the Monte Carlo in a 25,143-square-foot annex to the resort that includes four other mystery restaurants. They will be one-story in height and range in size from 2,985 to 8,848 square feet. Surrounded by a decorative fence, extensive new landscaping and two new water features, the revamp will create a plaza of patios undulating in front of the former mock neoclassical architecture.
