The $1.6 million upgrade to the Nine Fine Irishmen pub at New York-New York might be complete, but the mammoth construction outside its door might make you think twice about enjoying their new patio.

Progress on creating a new multi-million dollar Strip-facing frontage is fast, furious and dusty. The entire Brooklyn Bridge plaza is filled with crews and machinery. Part of their labors will create a two-story Hershey's Chocolate World "retail experience" and a re-working of The Sporting House Bar & Grill on the north side of the property.

Yet to be officially announced by the resort are the new tenants that will fill the new space alongside the Irish pub. Starbucks will be creating yet another outpost and renderings suggest they will upgrade the standard design model with an urban, brick-wall, loft-style approach. Also coming, the second Swatch store in the city. The Swiss brand is looking to a stark white approach for this property. Their other location within the Forum Shops at Caesars features a multi-colored design scheme. And a retail location for Stupidiotic will be created for their brand of "unusual and peculiar products," and other items you never knew you needed or existed.

Inside, the shuttered Broadway Theater is covered by plywood and large plastic sheeting and with it the neighboring Stadium Snacks, former purveyor of hot dogs and Krispy Kreme donuts, has now been removed. All construction is projected to end by early 2014.
