Mandarin Bar Goes Shanghai Style; Marche Bacchus Dinner

MANDARIN ORIENTAL — Mandarin Bar is kicking it up with a new weekly party Shanghai Nights. Replicating the popular city when it was known as the "Vegas of Asia," the Shanghai-inspired tastes, cocktails and atmosphere will take over Mandarin Bar every Tuesday night starting Sept. 10. Mandarin Oriental executive chef David Werly created a menu of small bites while new Mandarin Bar manager Priscilla Young concocted cocktails reminiscent of the glamorous Shanghai scene. Look for the Barrel Down the Bund with gin and the French Concession that combines European and Chinese flavors. Menu items include a rice pepper roll with Alaskan king crab and jelly fish as well as a Shanghai dim sum selection. [EaterWire]
