Glacier Bar, the shuttered underground 1,000-square-foot bar that used to tout the "coldest beer on the Strip," is getting a reprieve. Part of the Showcase Mall that includes neighbors M&M's World and World of Coca-Cola, this refreshed world of alcohol has a publicly announced $105,000 remodel budget, a generous allocation for such a compact spot.
Accessible via an escalator, or two facing stairwells, the former downstairs entrance into the old Gameworks video arcade space will be closed. An under construction Marshalls department store is readying to take over that space.
Gameworks closed in March 2012, but will return with a 225-seat restaurant at their new location at Town Square.
