Shouty chef Gordon Ramsay has Ja'Nel Witt's back. Witt won season 11 of Hell's Kitchen and had to turn down her gig at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace after allegedly testing positive for cocaine.
"She's a talented chef. I hope she sorts out her personal issues. My door's always open," he tells TMZ after being ambushed at LAX.
The dramatic turn of events quickly developed on Friday, mere days before she was scheduled to work in the kitchen of Gordon Ramsay Pub, part of her prize for winning Hell's Kitchen. She reportedly gets to keep the $250,000 salary that goes with winning the show.
"Recent unforeseen personal circumstances will now unfortunately prevent her from accepting the position," iTV Studios wrote on the Hell's Kitchen Facebook page.
Witt took to Twitter after rumors that she tested positive for drugs, saying, "Thank you for the kind words, and the rumors are very entertaining, but I won't address the negativity or ridiculous headlines."
