First signs the locally conceived 6,772-square-foot brew pub Banger Brewing is rapidly moving forward. Located on the ground floor of Fremont Street's Neonopolis shopping mall, the brewery has been touting its "coming soon" status since the project was first revealed in October 2012. The company's Facebook page is now sharing construction photos, details of their new Fremont Street silo signage and declaring an October opening date. Two local brews will be created in house once they open their doors.
Sixty interior tables face glass walls that look into a fully functioning brewery. A patio will be created on the Neonopolis courtyard and a walk up window will sell growler bottles.
Banger Brewing currently creates five different microbrews, including Perfect Ten, featuring "hints of caramel and honey malt" and an IPA named A Hoppy Ending.
The five-man company of Vegas locals had aimed for an initial March 2013 opening date, then pushed that back to a summer debut. Once open, proposed expansion plans include a functioning barley silo on the courtyard patio.
