Described by their representative as a "victim of their own success," Sugar Factory American Brasserie is expanding outward. The 24-hour restaurant at Paris Las Vegas is seeking approval for plans to remodel a portion of its interior and create a new Strip-facing, sidewalk patio. Located behind a three-and-a-half-foot wrought iron fence, the area will feature new landscaping, dozens of added plants and shrubs and views of the Bellagio fountains. The upgrade was first proposed in August 2012 but is only now on a fast track.
To be removed from the current vista, the existing hostess stand and, most significantly, the existing bus stop and ticket machine that operates directly in front of this upcoming patio. The busy transportation hub will be moved further down the Strip to accommodate the new vantage point.
