Thai Grill at 1901 N. Decatur Blvd. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a re-inspection on Aug. 2 revealed 17 demerits. The initial inspection on June 28 uncovered 28 demerits, a C grade.
The re-inspection revealed ineffective pest control measures, inaccurate thermometers and food unprotected from potential contamination among the violations.
Since opening in 2011, Thai Grill seems to have a habit of earning C grades that are upgraded to an A after a re-inspection.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
