The 24-hour, never closed Carson Street Café has shuttered at the Golden Nugget. A considerable plywood wall snakes down the resort's rear corridor, explaining alternative dining options. The company's Facebook page updates that "two new exciting restaurant concepts will be taking its place later this year," but does not name the forthcoming replacements.

As Eater Vegas first revealed, two new ventures have been long in the planning for the resort. Michael Patrick's, which utilizes the same name as a 24/7 brasserie at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City and a project called the Cadillac Bar. On the East Coast, Michael Patrick's serves "an upscale, eclectic menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

Also under construction in Las Vegas, the remodel of the Rush Lounge, a future bar and lounge open to Fremont Street called Bar One and more scattered improvements around the casino level.

While the Café is closed, guests can opt for a new breakfast menu inside the Italian restaurant Grotto and The Grille has temporarily expanded operations to 24-hour service.
