Here, now, some new facts that just emerged about Beacher's Madhouse, the performance theater debuting on New Year's Eve the MGM Grand. This is a circus atmosphere, with a bevy of vaudeville acts headed up by showman Jeff Beacher. In New York and Los Angeles, he has mini versions of Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Psy, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and Ke$ha.
In the former Crazy Horse Paris space, expect to find a main stage flanked by 15 smaller stage throughout. Guests enter through a speakeasy-like passageway hidden behind a library bookcase, and travel through a tunnel leading them to the showroom. Shows plan to run six night a week Tuesdays through Sundays starting at 8 p.m. with more late-night shows at 10:30 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays.
Part of the $750,000 makeover includes an aerial rig to accommodate the "Beau Joie Flying Midget Bartenders" who sail through the air to deliver bottles to guests when it opens. So far, the review has been on the search for "Variety acts: Acrobats, Little People, Balloon Artists, Contortionists, Aerialists, or just plain freaks!"
Previously, Beacher's Madhouse ran for five years at the Hard Rock Hotel until 2008.
