Multiple reports are coming out that Heraea, the sports bar at the Palms, is closed. Several calls to the bar and restaurant resulted in different responses. The first at 9:30 a.m. yielded a "Yes, we are open for lunch" response. At 12:30 p.m., it changed to "closed for renovations." A tipster who does business with the restaurant tells Eater Vegas the restaurant is changing ownership from The ONE Group to N9NE Group.
Heraea's last tweet went out 18 hours ago. "Denver wins and improves to 3-0 with tonight's 37-21 win vs. Oakland! Thanks to all that came out and supported!"
A spokesperson for Heraea promised details when she received them, while a spokesperson for the N9NE Group did not respond to an email requesting more information. So whether this is the last hurrah or just a temporary restructuring is yet to be seen.
Heraea opened eight months ago. If it truly is closed for good, this marks the second ONE Group restaurant to shutter. Bagatelle, after going through dozens of anticipated opening dates and numerous name changes, shuttered at the Tropicana in July and turned into an events facility for the resort. The ONE Group also planned to open Xishi, an Asian restaurant, in the former Little Buddha space next to Heraea, and also operates STK at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Developing.
Updated at 7:30 p.m. 9/24: Here's a statement from The ONE Group: "Heraea Vegas and Palms Casino Resort have decided to end their partnership at HERAEA. The ONE Group wishes Palms the best of luck."
And from the Palms: "Palms Casino Resort and HERAEA Vegas have decided to end their partnership at HERAEA with Palms taking over management of the space. Palms expects to reopen the restaurant soon. Palms wishes HERAEA Vegas and The ONE Group the best of luck."
