Greek Festival; Grapes & Hops; Del Frisco Stone Crabs

WESTSIDE — The 41st Annual Las Vegas Greek Food Festival takes place this weekend at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church from 3 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Find Greek food galore including souvlaki, gyros, saganaki, loukaniko and pastries. SPRINGS PRESERVE — The Grapes & Hops Festival brings together wine connoisseurs and beer enthusiasts from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Pair tastings of wines and a selection of beers with live music and complimentary food. The event benefits Par for The Cure, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research. Tickets are $40 in advance or two for $70. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $100 each. Admission includes a sampling glass and unlimited wine, beer & food samples. Preserve members receive $5 off each ticket. [EaterWire]

EASTSIDE — Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House starts serving up stone crabs starting Oct. 17. Look for the seasonal dish as an appetizer, main entree or side to steak and seafood items.
