Get the back story on one of the most iconic dishes served at none other than NM Cafe, the restaurant inside Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show mall. Apparently the tradition started in Dallas, when Harold Stanley Marcus, the president of the department store from 1950 to 1972 and later chairman, wanted to start diners off with something better than a cup of coffee. His travels to France brought the popover and chicken consomme with strawberry butter to Neiman Marcus' Zodiac restaurant in Dallas, now served with ever meal at NM Cafe. [Fearless Fashionista]
