Have $1,000 and want to help out Max Jacobson, the Vegas Seven food critic who was hit by an SUV on Dec. 23 and suffered brain injuries? The first Chefs to the Max dinner has been scheduled at chef Rick Moonen's Rx Boiler Room at Mandalay Place on Sunday, Jan. 19, and already a lineup of top-tier chefs have signed on to help.
Bruce Bromberg of Blue Ribbon Sushi, Kim Canteenwalla of Honey Salt, Tom Colicchio of Heritage Steak and Craftsteak, Barry Dakake of N9NE Steakhouse, Susan Feniger of Border Grill, Hubert Keller of Fleur and Burger Bar, Thomas Keller of Bouchon, Emeril Lagasse with four Vegas restaurants, Grant Macpherson, Brian Massie of Light Group, Mary Sue Milliken of Border Grill, Charlie Palmer of Charlie Palmer Steak and Aureole, Bradley Ogden, Joey Romano and Megan Romano of Chocolate & Spice Bakery and David Walzog of SW Steakhouse and Lakeside all signed on for the first dinner, a six-course extravaganza with chefs splitting each course. Southern Wine and Spirits will serve as the evening's beverage and mixology sponsor.
The night starts with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the six-course dinner from 7 to 10 p.m.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Jacobson directly to help pay for mounting medical bills as a result of the accident.
Purchase tickets by calling Rx Boiler Room at 702-632-9900 or email info@RxBoilerRoom.com.
As of Jan. 1, Jacobson, who turned 64 on Dec. 31, was being taken out of his medically induced coma.
