Meet Summerlin's new teppanyaki and sushi joint, Kanji Steak & Sushi, taking over the former Geisha House. Inside find a modern Japanese restaurant with a 15-seat sushi bar and six hibachi tables with seating for up to 11.
This is one of the few Japanese restaurants with a full bar, featuring sake cocktails such as sake sangria and house-made flavored sake bombs in flavors such as blue raspberry, pomegranate, white peach, mango and sour green apple.

Look for dishes such as the"Six Layer Sushi" crispy sushi rice with spicy tuna, kani (crab stick), avocado, filet mignon, deep fried onion layered and cut into six bite-sized pieces. Other specialties include the house fried rice cooked on the hibachi grills but also available at regular dining tables. For lunch, order a bento lunch box with rice, soup, salad, tempura, a California roll, macaroni salad with choice of Terriyaki beef, chicken, salmon or bulgogi, all under $10.
The average lunch is about $10 per person while dinner is between $25 and $35 per person.
The restaurant is open weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and weekends from 4 to 10:30 p.m.
