Get your earplugs at the ready — Rí Rá at Mandalay Place is attempting to break a Guinness World Record for the Longest Concert by Multiple Artists starting today and going on for the next 16 days.
Musicians booked can only break for 25 seconds between songs and a five-minute pause between sets.
Irish musician Dave Browne leads the charge, with bands and musicians from Ireland including Liam Reilly of renowned Irish rock band Bagatelle and the founder of the legendary Wolfe Tones, Derek Warfield, help keep the music going.
The current world record holder for Longest Concert by Multiple Artists is AJ’s Music Café in Ferndale, Mich., where a concert that began on March 19, 2011, lasted for 360 hours, ending on April 3, 2011.
