Downtown Summerlin opened yesterday with only a handful of restaurant actually serving up food. Fear not. More is on the horizon.
Perhaps the biggest, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, the first off-Strip restaurant for the chef who started the celebrity chef craze in Las Vegas. That restaurant, sitting on the east side of the new shopping center, plans to open by the end of the month, serving lunch and dinner.
Expect to find salads, sandwiches, grilled meats, seafood, handmade pasta, and pizzas from the wood-burning oven. Classic and artisanal cocktails, craft beers and wines will make the bar menu.
Mark Andelbradt has already been working in the kitchen there, moving over from Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio at the Grand Canal Shoppes.
This 200-seat restaurant designed by EDG pays homage to the surrounding desert and red cliffs of Red Rock Canyon.
