On Main Street, neighbors Hop Nuts Brewing and Makers & Finders Coffee have a little longer to wait before joining the welcome changes in the Arts District.

Makers & Finders' urban coffee bar is still hoping for a very late October debut. Set to open for breakfast and lunch, although initial plans announced it would serve until 7 p.m., they will eventually be offering seven different methods of coffee preparation with beans from five separate countries. Also on the menu, salads and sandwiches, sweets and a commitment to "Latin comfort foods." Patio seating on a square of AstroTurf will be created outside.

Hop Nuts Brewing

Next door, Hop Nuts Brewing has to do some more work to catch up and is now racing for a November arrival.

A 220-gallon beer brewing system is already in place and waiting to become operational. When opened this will be the first microbrewery in the Arts District.
