The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration throws its Chef Artist Dinner tomorrow night with Devin Hashimoto, the executive chef behind Mizumi at Wynn Las Vegas. The dinner starts with hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. in the Stan Fulton Building at UNLV.
Hashimoto plans to have a sushi bar with Maine lobster with cucumber and avocado hand roll, a tiger roll, and a vegetable roll. Robatayaki follows featuring yakitori seabass, jidori chicken and negi, and shishito peppers and ponzu sauce. Afterward, teppanyaki featuring Angus beef sirloin served with seasonal vegetables and fried rice, a Japanese mushroom salad and then baked sweet miso marinated black cod. For dessert, a Mizumi mask and coconut tapioca. Hashimoto plans to serve his Mizumi Cloud specialty cocktail, as well as Champagne, white and red wines for the reception and dinner.
