KRLV 1340 AM radio host Guido Mantilla will launch his Guido's Ristorante inside the Mark I Towers on Desert Inn Road with a grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 15. The new venture replaces the shuttered local and celebrity favorite La Scala, which closed in November last year.
With spelling not their strong point, Guido's exclaims their plan is "bringing back the old LAS VEGAS! Fine dinning and live entertainment!" Comedy shows and live music will comprise the evening's entertainment:
"Bringing the best comedians around the world! The opportunity to perform under the same roof, the funniest experience you ever encounter! LIVE MUSIC by VERY TALENT MUSICIANS from all over the WORLD! They will sing to you and make your dinning experience the best that you ever taste it!!"
Word on changes in decor or the focus of the menu have yet to be announced.
The La Scala interior was "loosely themed" after the Teatro alla Scala opera house in Milan, Italy and famed guests included Frank Sinatra who liked to sit at his favorite "table No. 9." Other celebrity and infamous customers included mobster Sam Giancana and actor Joe Pesci.
Opening hours for the new Guido's will be Monday to Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.
