Get your petticoats ready. Chef Daniel Boulud returns to DB Brasserie at the Venetian to run the kitchen and possibly do a can-can on the tables Nov. 14-16.
The weekend starts on Friday, Nov. 14, with the Chapoutier Wine dinner at 7 p.m. Head sommelier Devin Zendel and special guest Christophe Grenaille pair the French Rhône Valley wines of Chapoutier with a five-course dinner from Boulud and executive chef David Middleton. Eight wines from 2004 to 2012 vintages make the cut. The dinner is $150 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity. For reservations, call Heidi Voskuil at 702-287-5922.
Boulud then gets happy with a book signing and happy hour from Saturday, Nov. 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. Boulud will sign copies of his cookbooks while serving canapés and spinning some of his favorite tunes. For $25 per person, guests can dine on a spread of cheese and charcuterie.
Then on Sunday, Nov. 16, Boulud hosts the Big Brasserie Brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burlesque girls and French fanfare will be on the agenda, but a press release notes, “We only ask that patrons refrain from can-canning on the white tablecloths (this rule does not apply to Chef Boulud).” A Bloody Mary bar will offer four signature drinks: the db Bloody Mary, Bloody Cowboy with a Kick, Bloody Caesar, and Bloody Maria Maria. For $25 per person add unlimited mimosas and Bellinis.
