Outstanding in the Field, the farm-to-table dinner, makes its first foray in Nevada with a dinner featuring chef Jason Neve of Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group at Quail Hollow Farm in the Moapa Valley, 50 miles north of Las Vegas in Overton, on Friday, Oct. 24. Ironically, this is the 50th state to feature the Outstanding in the Field dinners in its 15-year history.
Neve’s menu, a four-course meal, features a mixed field green salad with radishes and pomegranate, a roasted beet salad with pumpkin and rabbit terrine with corn relish and tatsoi. The next course is Moapa squash ravioli served with brown butter and sage. For the third course, Navajo churro lamb with an herb-marinated pit roasted leg, grilled loins with salsa verde and stewed shoulder and shanks with anasazi beans and Mexican June corn polenta, braised kales, hearty greens and grilled potatoes. For dessert, a Dutch oven apple cobbler with cinnamon cream.
Tickets for this event are $210 per person and can be purchased here.
