The Filipino restaurant Cafe de Cebu at 6680 W. Flamingo Road was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a re-inspection on Oct. 20 revealed an imminent health hazard.
Inspectors found a lack of adequate refrigeration, which called for the immediate closure of the restaurant.
On Facebook, Cafe de Cebu wrote, “Announcement: To be able to serve you better, Cafe de Cebu will be closed today til tomorrow (Oct. 20-21) for kitchen and equipment repairs. We will be back to regular restaurant hours on Wednesday, Oct.22. See you then!”
Cafe de Cebu earned a B grade during an inspection on Oct. 6.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
