Hiromaru, the ramen joint out of Japan that just opened in March, just shut down in Chinatown.
Chef Hironori Kawai’s ramen franchise took over Cafe de Japon, shuttered by chef Kiichi Okabe last November.
Kawai’s organic noodles with imaginative ingredients could be found in seven varieties, all for under $9.
The name of the 2,130-square-foot translated into "from Japan to the world with full of the love of ramen."
The rumor vine suggests that the chef and owner did not get along and the restaurant may have already been on the market.
