White House Favorite Wonderland Bakery Arrives In December

Located next door to the eagerly anticipated Australian import Gelato Messina, an equally sweet, out of state transplant, will arrive at Downtown Summerlin in December.

Newport Beach's Wonderland Bakery specializes in custom baking, themed events for children or adults and a daily range of creatively designed cookies, cakes and cupcakes. In California, a Wonderland Party can feature cookie-decorating in a glittery pastel environment for a first birthday or a more sedate custom event for a 50th wedding anniversary.

The Bakery also has the claim to fame as the home of the "favorite sugar cookies of White House," embellished with edible Presidential Seal artwork.

French vanilla iced sugar cookies were created for 2009 Presidential Inauguration Gala and the President’s Committee on Arts and Humanities in 2010. Company founder Allyson Ames explains, "although we are a non-partisan bakery, we are grateful President Obama has ‘good taste’ and we are honored that he has selected our cookies as the White House favorite."

Once opened, the bakery's hours will be Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
