Jim Begley ponders whether restaurant power couple Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla can “buck that trend” of restaurants quickly shuttering at Tivoli Village with their new Made LV there.
“… with their second venture, they’re taking a decidedly casual approach with a varied menu that’s arguably better than the award-winner down the street,” he says, comparing it to Honey Salt, the couple’s other restaurant.
He likes the cheesy garlic toast to start and says the jars section of the menu could be a meal in themselves, recommending the smoked onion dip, pimento cheese, chopped chicken liver and the black truffle cheese fondue.
He says the Black Mission figs are, “One of the best dishes I’ve had all year but could pass on the butcher-style chicken wings, “which have a barely noticeable smokiness.”
Surprise! HKR gives Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood at the M Resort A grades for food and atmosphere and an A- for service for an overall A grade. How would you ever decide where to eat based on her reviews? Is everything good? [LVRJ]
