Nearly a year after announcing plans to open at the Forum Shops at Caesars, Border Grill swings open the doors on its second Vegas location from chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Bravo's Top Chef Masters and Food Network's Too Hot Tamales. Hungry shoppers can land lunch and dinner daily in the new spot, sitting at the front of the mall.
Diners enter the restaurant through a patio sitting next to the mall’s spiral escalator. Inside, find a cantina lounge, a ceviche bar, demonstration kitchen, private dining room and bar.
True to Border Grill design, discover woodcarvings and colorful murals throughout the ornately decorated restaurant that includes touches of rusted steel patina, orange and red tiles, purple lighting fixtures and graphic light boxes.
New modern Mexican dishes to make the menu include roasted cauliflower with aioli, crispy kale, puffed quinoa and piquillo; black bean and corn esquite salad; yucca fritas; hibiscus glazed duck breast; and chile rubbed ribeye.
The new open kitchen at the front of the restaurant offers up hand-rolled tortillas cooking on the comal and guacamole as well as 10 new ceviches.
New cocktails here include the Jalisco Burro with corralejo reposado, ancho reyes chile liqueur, fresh lime and ginger beer and the Piña Verde with pineapple and mint infused herradura silver, fresh lime, green tabasco, and agave nectar.
