Five new casual dining restaurants broke ground on a new 12,000-square-foot building owned by the Hughes Center. Get ready for Panera Bread, The Habit Burger, Pieology, Jamba Juice and Chipotle to open in the former Hamada of Japan space next summer at 365 E. Flamingo Road.

Expect to find a contemporary architectural style replete with patios. Each end of the building will feature a tower anchored by Panera Bread on one end and Chipotle on the other.

Pizza chain Pieology, created by the family of tennis champion Michael Chang, also has its sights set on Downtown Summerlin. This chain creates "kustom" pizzas from scratch that cook in under five minutes, providing customers with more than 30 toppings and five different sauce choices to add to their pie.

The Habit Burger Grill location will be the first in Las Vegas for the "charburger" franchise, but the Irvine-based company announced in May it has plans to bring 15 of their restaurants to the city. A contract for another unnamed location has already been signed.
