Peer inside Oak & Ivy, the craft whiskey bar inside the Downtown Container Park. This cute little spot specializes in barrel-aged cocktails, concoctions that are mixed in batches and aged for a minimum of four to six weeks. Some of the barrel-aged cocktails here include the Angel's Envy Manhattan with Angel's Envy Bourbon and Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth; the Blood and Clovers with Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, Cherry Heering and Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth; and the Wright Flight with Wild Turkey Rye, Luxardo Maraschino, and Rothman & Winter Créme de Violette.

Find 39 whiskeys behind the bar including Belle Meade, Michter's Small Batch, Balcones Baby Blue, Hudson New York Corn and Oola Waitsburg.

The cocktails here aren't limited to whiskey. Oak & Ivy has a must-try Terroir Mary, the bar's take on the classic bloody Mary that incorporates ingredients that nod to some of the neighbors. Vodka infused at Oak & Ivy with lemongrass and peppercorn is the base, with a mix that includes onion and cilantro in homage to Pinches Tacos, barbecue sauce inspired by Big Ern's, tomato as tribute to Simply Pure, and red wine inspired by Bin 702.

Also on hand, a small selection of beers including Firestone 2013 Stickee Monkee, Innis & Gunn and Delirium Tremens.
