Rumors spread this weekend that management of The Bunkhouse Saloon, which reopened 10 weeks ago after a year-plus, $1.4 million renovation, might to turned over to the owners of Park on Fremont, Commonwealth and more. Las Vegas Weekly reports that the owners of Wendoh Media, who operate the Fremont East bars, may be taking over the Downtown Project music venue.

Las Vegas Weekly reports that Downtown Project plans to "retain ownership of the land and the renovated venue." The weekly says that a spokesperson for the project would not confirm the changeover.

Also of note, the Wendoh group, which is also behind Blvd. Cocktail Co. at The Linq and the new Due & Proper and Whist Stove in Henderson also plan to open WheelHouse, taking over the former Society Cleaners and adjacent Western RV Park at 10th and Fremont Streets. The unique aspect of this concept, in an area already crammed with bars, lounges and live performing spaces, will be the impossible to ignore 90-foot windmill providing the alternative energy source.
