What’s with all of these live animals that need to be contained at restaurants? Pasta Mia West, the Italian restaurant from Piero Broglia at 4455 W. Flamingo Road, came within two points of being shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on Nov. 6. And, yes, animals were unrestricted.
Inspectors found food unprotected from potential contamination, an inadequate number of hand washing facilities, inadequate backflow prevention devices and more.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
