Lucky Foo's
Address: 8955 S Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV
Status: Opens at 4 p.m.
An "American Izakaya" restaurant and bar has arrived in Green Valley. Lucky Foo's executive chef Shawn Giordano is now serving Asian and Mediterranean flavors fused with American cuisine and cooked over a robata grill fueled by Japanese coal heated to 1,000 degrees.
The menu runs the gamut of sushi, noodles, salads, sandwiches and skewered yakitori meat. Dishes include fried tofu with quail egg and enoki mushrooms and vegetable tacos with smoked pickled kimchee, plus their "Foo Burger" cooked at those super high temperatures to seal in the flavor.
With room for 180 guests, separate "microenvironments," better known as "rooms," are designed with "a specific character or idea considered to be 'lucky,' allowing for unique experiences each time a guest visits." The main dining room is watched over by mural named Belli of the Dragon by local artist Sean Clauretie and features hidden appearances by Hello Kitty and Totoro.
While current hours are 4 p.m. until very late, Lucy Foo's will eventually be serving lunch and add menus created just for children, alongside special happy hour and late-night dining options.
