Unlike most cities, Las Vegas doesn’t shut down on Thanksgiving, leaving your options wide open if you don’t want to mess up the kitchen for a sit-down dinner with the family. Every restaurant on the Strip and most at casinos off the Strip are open and offering specials for turkey day. Here, a look at some of the insane numbers behind three buffets and what they serve for Thanksgiving.
The Buffet at Bellagio serves somewhere around 14,000 guests in four days over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Diners here eat:
· 2,200 pounds of turkey,
· 1,600 pounds of mashed potatoes,
· 1,400 pounds of stuffing.
The MGM Grand Buffet served 2,848 people on Thanksgiving day last year. Stuffed guests consumed:
· 2,000 glasses of champagne,
· 360 pounds of prime rib,
· 10 gallons of cranberry relish.
MORE, The Buffet at Luxor serves up:
· 3,000 pumpkin pies,
· 400 pounds of yams,
· 160 gallons of turkey gravy.
