Yun Nan Garden, the Szechuan restaurant at 3934 Schiff Drive, came within two points of being shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on Nov. 20.
Inspectors found the restaurant was disposing waste water and sewage incorrectly, food was potentially contaminated and single use items were reused in the 39-demerit, C grade inspection.
The restaurant was closed in August with 47 demerits and again in 2010 with 48 demerits.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
