Despite repeated promises that the $5.8 million Tom’s Urban going into New York-New York would be open 24 hours a day, alas, that promise will not be fulfilled.

The restaurant, the third from co-founder Tom Ryan of Smashburger fame, pulled back its hours of operation before its anticipated late December or early 2015 opening. The Denver location also scaled back hours to a 2 a.m. closing time, but in an interview with Denver Westword, Ryan promised that "we're working on a menu right now, returning to the original 24-hour format — Las Vegas is the other city that never sleeps."

The restaurant does plan to be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
