Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar brings a wine pairing dinner with white truffles on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Tartufi e Nebbiolo – Una Coppia Perfetta ("Truffles and Nebbiolo – a Perfect Match") is a special, one-night-only, five-course dinner featuring seasonal white truffles from Alba, Italy, paired with Italy’s Barbaresco and Barolo wines.
Look for a crostini with burrata and fresh white truffles, paired with Contratto Brut by Giorgio Rivetti; butternut squash gnocchi with hazelnuts, brown butter and sage sauce topped by fresh white truffles paired with Barbaresco by Produttori del Barbaresco; seared truffle-butter-basted scallops over fontina polenta and black truffle cream with fresh white truffles paired with Barbaresco, Santostefano, by Produttori del Barbaresco; broiled filet mignon with hotel butter served with cannellini runner beans, asparagus and fresh white truffle paired with Barolo, Le Vigne, by Luciano Sandrone; and crepes with chestnut cream served with hazelnut gelato and fresh white truffles paired with Brachetto by Marenco.
