Local Brews. Local Grooves. Heads to House of Blues

Didn’t get enough of beer festivals in September? House of Blues has the cure for you. Coming on Saturday, Nov. 22, Local Brews. Local Grooves. at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay starting at 7 p.m.

More than 50 beers from brewers across the Southwest and beyond including Bad Beat, Banger, Big Dogs, Joseph James and Tenaya Creek, will be paired with music from Unwritten Law, Franks and Deans, Out of the Desert and Loop’d. Brew masters and experts will be on hand to chat about pairings.

The House of Blues team has created special items to pair with beer selections. Find chilled poached shrimp with tomato chutney paired with Oskar Blues Mammmas Yella Pills, marinated flank steak lettuce cup with drunken onions and peppers paired with Guinness Blonde, among other items in the Music Hall.

Looking for a full meal? Head to the Courtyard stage at Crossroads for waffle cut fries with Gorgonzola cheese sauce, paired with a Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen and Mississippi sliders paired with the local Joseph James “Hop Box” Imperial IPA.

Head up to the Foundation Room for crab cake of sweet jumbo lump crab, apple-fennel slaw, whole grain mustard sauce paired with New Belgium Snapshot Wheat and an open-face B.L.T.A. on brioche with applewood smoked bacon, tomato, baby arugula, sunny side up quail egg and avocado crema paired with Great Basing Wild Horse Ale.

Tickets are $20, or $35 which includes five beer samples, and are on sale now. Individual sampling tickets will be for sale onsite. A limited number of Stone VIP Lounge tickets are available for $49 and include early entry, Stone VIP Lounge access, five beer samples, four “mystery beer” passes to be redeemed in the Stone VIP Lounge and an official commemorative Local Brews.
