Get Lucky Inside the New Asian-Fusion 8 Noodle Bar at Red Rock Resort

The restaurant uses Feng Shui elements to up the odds of luck.

Peer inside the very lucky 8 Noodle Bar, opening Monday at Red Rock Resort. It’s an intimate space, only seating 41 guests who vie for the 30 seats in the main dining space and 11 at the bar. There, guests can get up close and personal with the chefs as they prepare dishes.

The Asian fusion restaurant features traditional Asian elements with its vibrant red façade and an intricate lattice screen. Look for the lines of suspended noodle bowls with calligraphy that separate the space from the neighboring casino. A single piece of art depicts abstract images of traditional noodle throwing techniques and spans the 24-foot length of the bar. Throughout, custom furniture features dragons crawling across the back of banquettes among tables reminiscent of burnt wood.

Feng Shui is also part of the design here. Station Casinos wanted harmony and balance in the restaurant, with the red entrance activating “the wealth stars.” It’s also “auspicious for money.” Even the location within the resort emits positive vibes, “positive for success and relationships.” Since the casino floor is right outside the door, it “emits fire energy and is positive for the success of the restaurant.” The rear of the restaurant “is equally supportive in the preparation of food and also fosters productive relationships among the restaurant team.”

Finally, the dragon logos throughout were made with metal, which “produces water, which is positive for wealth.” And those pearls in the dragons’ mouthes “represent the union of heaven and earth while the dragon holding the pearl in its claws symbolizes the dragon’s mastery over heaven and earth.”
