The Fashion Show mall promises five new "truly fantastic restaurants" when the dramatic makeover of their front facade debuts late next year, but inside, the fast and casual scene is also undergoing some upgrades.
Already a new Subway has appeared close to Dillard's, and now Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen is on its way to the food court. Anathema to foodies and dining connoisseurs, umbrella company Villa Enterprises has nevertheless been a fixture of Las Vegas since 1975. Villa Enterprises operates seven locations locally including McCarran International Airport, Santa Fe Station, Red Rock Resort, the outlet malls and Villa Pizza at 3385 S. Durango Dr., which began serving pies for locals 39 years ago.
Villa Fresh is spending an estimated $150,000 in construction upgrades to the 750-square-foot former KFC outpost. Expect the familiar menu of "Neapolitan & Sicilian style pizzas, Italian pastas & entrees, salads, & strombolis."
The first Villa Pizza opened in 1964 next to New York City's Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway and now operates more than 370 ventures across eight countries.
