Kiwi Alert! Meet Turbie at the Now Open Urban Turban

Auckland, New Zealand's Urban Turban brings Bombay flavors to Las Vegas.

First revealed by Eater Vegas back in July, five months and 6748 miles later Urban Turban has arrived in Las Vegas, ready to serve Bombay inspired street food, Indian classics and pacific rim twists direct from the menu of their original Auckland, New Zealand restaurant.

Located at 3900 Paradise Rd., head chef, Vijay Deokar and owners Jasmine and Bhushan Arolkar promote a tapas style approach to dishes, encouraging variety and sharing and also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options

On the menu, "Bombay Bites," like lamb sliders, ginger chicken and salt and pepper calamari and sharing platters, including the "Seafood Platter" featuring "gunpowder shrimp, curry leaf prawns and fish bites."

For the hungry, bottomless curries like Himalayan chicken and Bombay lamb masala come with unlimited refills. Urban Turban's familiar classics include chicken tikka masala, pesto chilli salmon and salli bot.

Dessert dishes can also be exotic, including "chocolate samosa, paan shot and in-house made ice cream with flavors that include rose, beetle nut and mango."

Bourbon Turban, Indian Mule and East India are among the suitably named cocktails.

The restaurant's mascot is a working rickshaw named "Turbie," specially imported from India. The team are encouraging guests to sit inside for a photograph and share on social media.

Urban Turban is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to midnight and until 2 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
