Vacant for well over a year, Genesis Restaurant has debuted in the corner space left by the departure of Marbella Tapas Bar and Lounge and before that a Ruth's Chris.
Genesis is serving a kosher Moroccan and Chinese menu prepared under the kosher supervision of Chabad of Southern Nevada.
Chinese items include Kung Pao beef, chicken lo mein and egg drop soup. The extensive grill menu features falafel, borekas, shakshuka, couscous and kefta tagine described as "cumine and paprika spiced kefta (beef meatballs), baked eggs and kalamata olives are the hallmarks of this elegant tagine from the Moroccan Restaurant "Le Timgad" in Paris."
Genesis is open Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
