Booming Spot Mini Pot, the Chinese hot pot restaurant at 3466 S. Decatur Blvd., was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on Dec. 1. The restaurant earned 50 demerits.
Inspectors found spoiled food, food unprotected from contamination, food held at the wrong temperature, single use items reused and more.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
