Little Richie's Chicago Style Beef & Dogs just received the surprise gift of a large new customer base. Treasure Island's sports book has relocated to the much, much smaller adjacent poker room that is entered through the quickie hot dog joint. The ongoing and dramatic 40,000-square-foot remodel of TI's frontage is causing the switcheroo, ultimately resulting in a three-story retail complex to include stores, a CVS pharmacy and an unnamed restaurant.

Construction forced the sports book downsizing, outfitting the temporary facility with plenty of TVs and computer screens, but the smaller space will mean satellite betting stations will be installed in the resort's ballroom to host upcoming larger viewing events like March Madness and the Kentucky Derby.

Little Richie's arrived in December 2012, replacing the sole Las Vegas outpost of L.A.'s Canter's Deli. The main dining room was then converted into the current poker room. The revamped sports book will re-open in June 2014, while the retail center is not expected until the end of the year.
