EASTSIDE — Ferraro's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar has a Taste and Learn wine event on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. that spotlights wines from Italy's famed Piedmont winemaking region. Guests will taste four wines by the Piedmont winemaker Batasiolo with each wine accompanied by a small-bite pairing prepared by executive chef Mimmo Ferraro. Owner Gino Ferraro and a representative from the winemaker will discuss the origin, contents and winemaking process of each vintage, while Mimmo will provide details about each of the food pairings he prepared to complement them.
