Pierre Gagnaire's Twist at Mandarin Oriental wants you to try the chef's dishes without seeing what's on the plate. It's all part of the new Wine Dinner Series that kicks off on Monday with dinner for only 45 guests, paired with Peter Michael Winery, an exclusive to the restaurant.
The dinner, titled Taste of the Senses, will test the senses of the guests with dimmed lights and dark plates and glasses. Guests will not be told what they are eating or what exactly they are drinking. Each will be served "blind" so guests will have to trust their taste, smell and touch to guess what they are enjoying.
The cocktail reception starts at 6 p.m. and six-course dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. with tickets for $350 per person.
Missing this one? Keep May 11 on the calendar open for the next with Penfolds.
